How You'll Help Move Us Forward Prior investment accounting experience not required. The team has a strong mentorship core and will provide training. As an Investment Accountant III, you will be involved in the Financial Reporting, Accounting and operations for the private equity asset class and your responsibilities will include the following: Financial Accounting & Reporting Responsibilities: Prepare US GAAP footnote disclosures relating to private equity investments. Prepare journal entries related to investment valuations, deal commitments, cash, write‑downs, etc. Help prepare quarterly/yearly financial statements for two externally contracted funds. Help prepare monthly rollforward. Responsible for assisting year‑end audits. Responsible for Portfolio Management ad hoc as needed. Maintain organized and properly referenced support and ensuring documentation of workpapers is clean and easy to follow for the reviewer. Operational Responsibilities Monitor and process daily cash activity, such as capital calls, distributions, interest payments, paydowns, etc. Communicate with treasury, banks, general partners, or limited partners to resolve any issues related to daily operations. Reconcile cash accounts and prepare weekly cash reports. Prepare quarterly distribution/capital call package. Address investor and investment requests, as needed. Be the key contact for assigned fund(s) and maintain a good relationship with client(s). The Experience You Bring 2+ years of relevant work experience. 4‑year degree or equivalent experience. Job requires both analytical and administrative ability; must be able to master desk procedures and understand task connectivity. Skilled in critical thinking and delivering solutions for improvement and operational efficiency. The ability to work and communicate within a team and across teams in the organization is key to success. What Makes You Stand Out Experience in Microsoft Excel (use of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc. a plus), prior experience using PeopleSoft, Oracle and Investran accounting software a plus.
