Job Description

We are seeking committed healthcare professionals to join our team at a Level II Trauma Center located in City, State . The position requires availability for day shifts across three 12-hour schedules, with flexible start times (7:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 12:00 PM) and weekend coverage every other week or more, depending on unit needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and assess patients, including those with multisystem organ dysfunction and critical conditions.
• Perform vital procedures, including 12 lead EKGs, arterial line management, and central line care.
• Administer medications, including emergency medications, continuous IV paralytics, and sedation.
• Provide care for diverse patient populations, from neonates to geriatrics, with varying medical needs.
• Implement triage protocols and prioritize care based on patient severity.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Participate in patient education and support initiatives, fostering a compassionate environment.

Required Qualifications

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, MAB, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (CPI or MAB accepted)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant healthcare setting.
• Skills: Strong foundation in emergency care, including but not limited to:
  
  
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Management of complex trauma and acute medical conditions
  • Phlebotomy and IV initiation
  • Chest tube insertion and respiratory support

Working Environment

This role demands flexibility and adaptability as floating may be required based on unit needs. The facility services an average daily census of 200 patients and operates with a 32-bed capacity, employing an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
