Your Role at a Glance Under the direction of the Security Manager and Security Director, the Security Site Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of the NTT Data Center physical infrastructure, equipment, and personnel. The Security Site Supervisor will work closely with the Data Center Operations Team (DCOPS) to ensure that security measures are in place and functioning properly at an assigned data center location. The Security Site Supervisor will provide regular daily supervision and support to a team of dedicated Security Officers and Shipping and Receiving staff. The Security Site Supervisor is responsible for the safety and protection of executive employees and other high‑risk individuals who visit the data center. The role also supervises day‑to‑day operations and enforces security protocols, manages a team of security and shipping and receiving officers, and oversees employees’ performance, career planning, learning, and development. The Security Site Supervisor will serve as an SME for access control systems, alarms, and surveillance platforms, and assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of NTT security procedures, as designed by NTT GDC Americas Security leadership to meet required codes, regulations, and in alignment with company policies. Additionally, the Security Site Supervisor will review and analyze loss control and incident reports, coordinate and administer security clearances, prepare, and maintain all required security manuals in coordination with external and interdepartmental parties. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise daily operations for a team of Security Officers, including planning, scheduling, submitting timesheets, organizing, and directing routine and special project work delegated by Security leadership. Identify and attract talent by partnering in the recruitment process, assessing qualifications, interviewing candidates, and hiring individuals to join the team. Contribute to and support the development, implementation, and enforcement of security protocols, policies, and procedures to protect the data center, assets, and personnel. Coach and guide Security staff by modeling professional conduct, adhering to security policies and safety regulations, and overseeing the team’s performance management at the assigned work sites. Process quarterly promotions in collaboration with regional managers and site managers. Guide team members on how to fulfill the special/unique requirements for NTT GDC Americas clients and ensure requirements are met, including maintaining a positive and professional demeanor, proper engagement, and establishing client relationships. Monitor security operations at all times during shift to ensure the data center and surrounding property are secured. Manage security compliance through audits in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate Security vendor onboarding training in partnership with Deployment Services and Critical Facilities Operations. Act as the first point of contact during security incidents and conduct investigations at the direction of management, gathering evidence and preparing incident reports. Administer the operation of all security‑related systems on shift, such as access control, CCTV, digital video recording, photo badging, etc. Prepare and review periodic security reports for clients and internal leadership. Organize and conduct predefined actions in emergencies, render first aid in events ranging from fire and work accidents to illness. Manage the procurement of essential equipment spares and office supplies for designated staff, maintaining inventory levels and ensuring resources are readily available to support the team’s effective performance. Recommend improvements to record‑keeping software to capture accurate security officer activities. Ensure all Security Officers on shift meet all NTT GDC Americas dress code and uniform standards. Perform other duties as assigned; regular, predictable attendance is essential. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Familiarity with security processes and leadership, preferably in a data center or critical infrastructure environment. Knowledge of physical security systems, access control, surveillance technologies, and incident response procedures. Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, and HIPAA. Knowledge of OSHA and safety rules. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities. Good communicator, able to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to function in stressful situations, remaining calm while making critical decisions. Familiar with occupational hazards and safety rules. Education & Experience High School or GED required. 2–4 year degree, or equivalent combination of work experience and occupational training/certifications. Prior law‑enforcement and/or military leadership, a plus. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in a security position, including law enforcement, industrial, commercial, or governmental security and loss prevention. Ability to navigate security technologies and computer systems, including access control systems, CCTV, and incident management software. Internal candidates must have held a Security Officer L2 or L3, and/or Shipping and Receiving position, and held the previous position for 6 months. As a condition of employment, you are required to possess active certifications such as Certified Security Guard (CSG) or Certified Protection Officer (CPO) as mandated by state regulations, to be obtained within six months of commencing employment and maintained throughout your tenure. Physical Requirements Regularly moves equipment and other hardware up to 50 lbs. Frequently moves about inside and outside of data center/facility. Remains stationary for prolonged periods. Ascends/descends a ladder and performs duties atop a raised platform. Positions self in small spaces. Operates computer, peripherals, and other office equipment. Performs work during US business to support a 365/24/7-hour organization across several time zones. Close visual work on a computer terminal. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments. Work Conditions & Other Requirements Occasional travel to other data center locations. Exposure to all types of weather conditions. Exposure to unpleasant fumes and odors. Exposure to hazardous work environments. Data Center environment with varying temperatures and loud noises. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, late nights, holidays, and on‑call support, as needed to support onsite staff and business requirements. A valid driver’s license is required for onsite leaders with direct reports to support employee transportation and meet company needs. Must participate in some capacity in the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program—use smart mobile device with cellular connectivity capable of downloading active applications. Must carry cell phone during assigned shift and in emergency situations. CPR/First Aid Certification preferred or can be obtained working for NTT. This position requires work to be done onsite at a data center facility and may require use of a personal mobile device. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover expenses incurred for using a personal device, if applicable. Benefits NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $74,400 - $93,000. All regular full‑time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
