SAP ABAP Developer with SAP ECC and SAP Vertex AcceleratorLooking for an SAP ABAP Developer with SAP ECC and SAP Vertex Accelerator for an initial three month contract with possible extensions or conversion to a permanent employee of our client.Contractor can work completely remote, and there will be no travel, but will be required to work EST hours.Job DescriptionImmediate need for an SAP ABAP Developer with experience in SAP ECC and SAP Vertex Accelerator to augment our current ABAP resource pool.Essential duties include developing SAP solutions utilizing ABAP, mainly focusing on SAP Vertex Accelerator and tax related calculations and functions in ECC.Candidates submitted must be experienced SAP Vertex Accelerator Developers and will augment our current IBM developer pool. As an expert in SAP Vertex Accelerator, they will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions related to tax calculation and reporting using the SAP Vertex Accelerator tool. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional consultants and business stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of tax functionality within SAP systems. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of SAP technologies, tax compliance requirements, and has a proven track record of successfully implementing SAP Vertex Accelerator solutions.Required competencies:At least 5-7 years of ABAP development in SAP ECC.Demonstrated experience with SAP Vertex Accelerator development.Demonstrated experience with configuration in SAP Vertex Accelerator (mapping of flex fields, etc.)Experience with payment authorization logic in SAP ECC a PLUSKnowledge of Retail payment solutions a PLUSWorking knowledge of Google Big Query a PLUSExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsResponsibilitiesDevelop, customize, and enhance SAP Vertex Accelerator solutions to meet business requirements for tax calculation and reporting.Collaborate with SAP functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Design and implement tax calculation and reporting solutions using SAP Vertex Accelerator and integrate them with SAP ERP systems.Conduct thorough testing of SAP Vertex Accelerator solutions to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance with tax regulations.Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex issues related to tax determination and reporting within SAP systems.Collaborate with the development team to design and implement enhancements and customizations to the SAP Vertex Accelerator tool.Train and mentor junior developers on SAP Vertex Accelerator development best practices and methodologies.Opportunity for longer engagement supporting Tax reporting project getting underway that will be leveraging GCP and Google Big Query.QualificationsMinimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in SAP Vertex Accelerator development and implementation.Strong understanding of tax compliance requirements and regulations, and their integration with SAP systems.Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming language and experience in developing custom solutions within SAP ERP systems.In-depth knowledge of SAP Vertex Accelerator tool and its modules, including tax determination, calculation, and reporting.Experience in integrating SAP Vertex Accelerator with other SAP modules (such as FI/CO, SD, MM) and external systems.Ability to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to tax calculation and reporting.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.SAP certification in SAP Vertex Accelerator or related areas is a plus.
