Position Summary Pediatric Ophthalmologist Rady Children’s Health-Orange County is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join the busy Ophthalmology program at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in scenic Orange County, California. Qualifications Board Eligible or Board Certified Pediatric Ophthalmologist Completed an ACGME accredited ophthalmology residency program Fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology Responsibilities Provide comprehensive eye care for babies, children, and teens, including basic, specialty, and surgical services Diagnose and treat pediatric eye disorders, such as congenital cataract, glaucoma, oculoplastic conditions, and eye problems related to systemic diseases (e.g., diabetes, sickle cell, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, brain tumors, craniosynostosis, metabolic, genetic and chromosomal disorders) Perform pediatric cataract, glaucoma, and oculoplastic surgeries Collaborate with orthoptists, technicians, and other specialists in a state‑of‑the‑art, fully staffed practice About the Division The Ophthalmology division at CHOC offers the latest, most comprehensive treatments and is led by Dr. Rahul Bhola, MD, MBA. The team treats a full spectrum of pediatric eye conditions and works within an 80‑bed NICU, with interest in Retinopathy of Prematurity care. About CHOC Children’s Hospital of Orange County is a premier healthcare system recognized as a best children’s hospital by U.S. News & World Report (2022‑2023) and a Leapfrog Top Hospital.
