Protagonist also discovered and led research and development through Phase 3 for MIMRYLO (rusfertide), a first-in-class hepcidin mimetic peptide licensed to Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited for worldwide commercialization. MIMRYLO is approved in the U.S. for the treatment of erythrocytosis in adults with PV. The Company also has a number of clinical and preclinical programs based on clinically and commercially validated targets and addressing unmet medical needs, including an oral IL-17 antagonist peptide, anti-obesity dual and triple agonists, an oral hepcidin functional mimetic, and the recently announced IL-4 and amylin discovery programs.More information on Protagonist, its pipeline drug candidates, and clinical studies can be found on the Company's website at .Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to support the day-to-day HR needs of our growing organization. This role will be responsible for a broad range of HR activities, including employee relations, benefits administration, HR operations, compliance, onboarding, performance management, and recruiting support.This is an onsite position requiring 5 days per week in the office.Responsibilities:Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS data, including processing and documenting new hires, promotions, transfers, compensation and job changes, and terminations.Manage and coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a positive and consistent employee experience.Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, employee communications, and ongoing benefit-related support.Serve as the primary day-to-day HR point of contact for employees and provide timely, accurate guidance on HR programs, policies, and procedures.Maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA and leaves of absence.Ensure HR data integrity to support payroll, benefits administration, compliance, reporting, and other business requirements.Support HR and compliance audits and help ensure adherence to company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.Conduct periodic reviews and audits of HR processes and systems to identify opportunities for improved accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.Provide recruitment support as needed, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and candidate interviews.Support performance management processes, recognition programs, training initiatives, and company-wide HR events.Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.Handle confidential and sensitive employee information with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.Perform other HR responsibilities and projects as needed to support evolving business and organizational needs.Required Skills & Qualifications:5–8 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within a small biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences organization.Strong working knowledge of HR best practices and applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations.Hands-on experience with benefits administration, employee relations, HR operations, and HRIS administration.Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee matters with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and experience working with HRIS platforms.Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt effectively to changing business needs.Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful, and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively in a hands-on HR environment.
