Overview
Speech Language Pathologist — Acute Care in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Travel temporary assignment starting September 7, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,323–$2,410 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days. Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility. This role is a travel assignment with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations for residents and establish evidence-based treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy addressing communication, swallowing, cognition, and related functional goals.
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust plans of care to meet patient needs and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physicians, therapy colleagues, dietitians, social work) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Educate residents and families on treatment goals, home strategies, and safety considerations, including swallow precautions and compensatory techniques.
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and adhere to facility policies, infection control, and HIPAA standards.

Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license to practice in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain).
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings preferred.
- Strong evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment and collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Availability to work a 5x8 schedule with guaranteed hours.
