Data & Systems Administrator (Epic)

This consultant would provide SAP Business Objects administration (BOE, BI Launchpad, CMC – Installations, upgrades, security configuration) and training to the team. Our instance of BOE is integrated with Epic thus BOE/Epic integration experience is preferred. We have limited use of WEBI and universes. We are not looking for super users who only have experience scheduling reports.

This would be a part-time limited engagement to upgrade and migrate our current BOE systems to new servers, audit/advise on configuration settings, and train the current team on BOE administration. We expect this to be about a 3 to 6 month engagement with more time needed during the beginning and tapering off towards the end.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong SAP Business Objects administration (BOE, BI Launchpad, CMC – Installations, upgrades, security configuration) with Central Management Console and BI Launchpad experience.
• Experience with multi node BOE environments
• Experience with load balancing
• Experience with BOE 4.2x versions (Currently on 4.2 SP6)

Typical Tasks:

• Upgrade, troubleshoot and patch reporting systems (SAP Business Objects - BOE, CMC, BI Launchpad) as needed
• Back end BOE administration experience (Installations, upgrades, security configuration)
• Multi node load balancing configuration
• BOE Server content migration
• Test/Prod server optimization
• Regression testing
• BOE Server content migration/cutover
• Maintain and monitor production reporting systems for issues and areas of improvement
• Training current team on BOE

Travel Expectations:

One week on site at beginning of contract then remote work dependent on project needs and milestones

Preferred (but not required): Experience with Epic Crystal Integration (ECI)

Contract Term: 3-6 months
