Job Description

As a Security Officer Reception Desk in Reading, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a healthcare location, you will welcome visitors, manage access and badges, monitor alarms and entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service. Using computer or tablet systems, you will support a professional, secure environment while communicating clearly with staff and guests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and front-desk protocols at a healthcare location.
• Monitor access to the facility by greeting guests, verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
• Answer phones, provide directions, and communicate routine questions or concerns to appropriate staff members.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain awareness of front-desk activity and report security-related concerns, unusual activity, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
