Position:  General Labor

Pay Rate: $18.00 /hourly

Location:  Sacramento, CA

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support our operations, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manually set green brick and flue lining in the manner specified.  
• Unload fired brick and flue lining from kiln cars. 
• Examine brick for imperfections like cracks, chips, and color.  
• Manually place bricks that pass inspection onto a conveyor belt. 
• Maintain the work area to meet company specifications for cleanliness and safety.  
• Participate in the cleanup of tools, equipment, and the work area. 
• Attend safety meetings and abide by all safety rules.  
• Report any hazardous conditions to supervisors. 
• Ensure all work is performed in a safe and compliant manner.  
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. 
• Report equipment malfunctions, hazards, or supply shortages to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Physical abilities: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and manual labor.  
• Attention to detail: A focus on quality and the ability to spot imperfections in the products.  
• Reliability: Predictable and regular attendance is required. 
• Teamwork: A willingness to support skilled workers and follow instructions from supervisors.  
• Adherence to safety protocols: A commitment to following all safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
