Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

salary: $58,000 - $78,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production machinery and facility equipment.
• Diagnose system failures using schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
• Maintain, repair, and replace components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, belts, bearings, and gearboxes.
• Inspect, adjust, and align conveyor systems, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.
• Perform hydraulic and pneumatic system testing, including pressure checks, leak detection, and system calibration.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues, providing effective and timely repairs.
• Install, assemble, and commission new machinery and equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and work order documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company policies.
• Collaborate with production teams and engineers to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend upgrades or modifications to equipment.
• Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and ensure proper storage of maintenance supplies.
• Assist in training junior technicians or operators on proper equipment use and basic maintenance procedures.
