Job Description
Rome Health Hospital, a trusted healthcare provider in Central New York, is seeking a full-time Hospitalist (MD or DO) to join a well-supported inpatient team. This is a rewarding opportunity to practice in a community-focused setting with a manageable patient load and excellent sub-specialty support. Job Description:
As a Hospitalist, your responsibilities will include:
Provide inpatient care in a 7 on / 7 off schedule (7 AM - 7 PM)
Make daily rounds on assigned patients (average 12-15 per physician)
Admit patients and manage rapid responses/codes
Collaborate with intensivists in an open ICU setting with 24/7 consultation available
Conduct patient assessments, histories, physicals, and documentation using Paragon EMR
Coordinate with attending physicians, specialists, and hospital staff to ensure high-quality care
Participate in a hospitalist team managing 40-50 patients per day collectively
No on-call duties
Work in a non-trauma designated hospital with strong infrastructure.
BE accepted if a new graduate
Must be Board Certified within 2 years of contract start
Not accepting Locums candidates
Not accepting Visa Candidates
1099 candidates NOT accepted
Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted. Compensation and Benefits:
