Travel Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU setting with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Manage ventilator settings and sedation protocols for critically ill patients
• Perform medication titration and administer complex pharmacological therapies
• Assist with and support procedures including tracheostomy placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET communication, completion of communication boards, and medication teaching

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with ventilator and sedation management
• Experience with GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Draeger ventilators
• Ability to float in rotation with full-time staff and other travel nurses as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU environment
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records documentation
• Experience in a Trauma III designated facility
