Labor and Employment Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level Labor and Employment Associate to join its practice group in Portland, Oregon. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Oregon and preferably in Washington, or be willing to waive into Washington. The ideal candidate has over three years of experience in litigation, including employment cases, and some experience in providing employment advice, such as drafting handbooks and agreements. Duties Litigate employment cases effectively. Draft employment‑related documents, including handbooks and agreements. Provide advice and counsel to businesses on employment matters. Ensure workplace compliance and manage employment conflicts. Defend employers in lawsuits. Requirements Licensed to practice law in Oregon; Washington license preferred. Over three years of litigation experience, including employment cases. Strong writing and time management skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in Oregon; Washington preferred. Skills Excellent litigation and advisory skills. Proficient in drafting legal documents. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
