Locums OB Hospitalist (Laborist) - Fargo, North Dakota (IMLC Accepted) Quick Highlights

Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Specialty: OB/GYN Hospitalist (Laborist)
Start Date: September 7, 2026 (ASAP once credentialed)
Assignment: Ongoing
Schedule: 2-3 24-hour shifts per month preferred
Call Type: In-House Call
Practice Setting: Labor & Delivery / Hospital

Availability Needed

Start: ASAP upon credentialing
Ongoing coverage need
Prefer weekday coverage
2-3 24-hour shifts per month
Must have 24 hours off between shifts
Coverage flexibility available
Call response time requirement: 30 minutes

Licenses Required

Active North Dakota Medical License Required
IMLC Accepted

Board Certification

ABMS or AOA Board Certified OB/GYN Required

Required Certifications

ACLS Required

Preferred Qualifications

OB fellowship training required
Epic experience strongly preferred

Experience & Clinical Requirements

Must be comfortable with:
- Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)
- Cesarean sections
- Independent labor and delivery management
- Working alongside Certified Nurse Midwives

Practice Details

OB Hospitalist/Laborist coverage
Approximately 120 deliveries per month
Physicians perform approximately 65% of deliveries
Labor & Delivery/Postpartum unit:
- 16 rooms
- Dedicated OB operating room
Admissions required
Trauma Level II

Call Details

In-House Call
24-hour shifts
Providers may remain at hotel until called in
