Maintenance Mechanic - Per Diem 8hr Varied

SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for making daily rounds of all boilers, chillers, pumps, air compressors, vacuum pumps, hallway lighting and exit lights. They perform a daily medical gas inventory, must handle all work orders and Preventative Maintenance that are assigned to him/her, and assists in the security program. This position is under the supervision of the Engineering Supervisor and reports to the Director of Plant Operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Experience: 6 (six) months experience preferred
Required Licensure/ Certifications: MAB (90 days upon hire)
Must be knowledgeable of medical equipment and know how to operate and maintain facility boiler equipment
Must have knowledge of the following: electrical systems, plumbing systems, air conditioning systems and repair of minor building materials to the facility. They must be able to handle circumstances and take immediate action
Full command (verbal and written) of the English language
Possesses the physical ability and perceptive acuity, (e.g., visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform assigned duties
