Join a specialized life-sciences organization where sourcing professionals work closely with technical operations and cross-functional business partners to identify and select external partners supporting important business initiatives. This team combines strategic sourcing discipline, supplier relationship management, commercial analysis, and collaborative decision-making to ensure the organization selects third parties that meet its operational, financial, and quality needs.

This opportunity was created to support a newly identified sourcing project that requires dedicated expertise and immediate execution. The successful candidate will take ownership of the sourcing process while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and established sourcing professionals.

What's In Store For You

• Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099).
• Project-based contract through March 2027.
• Approximately 24 hours per week with flexibility in how those hours are distributed.
• Flexible daily scheduling with work generally aligned to Eastern Time.
• Hybrid opportunity with approximately one day per week onsite in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
• Opportunity to independently lead a strategic sourcing initiative from initial requirements through supplier evaluation and selection.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead an end-to-end strategic sourcing initiative supporting technical operations and external supplier selection.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather project requirements, internal data, and sourcing objectives.
• Develop sourcing strategies and conduct market intelligence to identify qualified potential suppliers.
• Build and manage RFP, RFQ, RFI, or similar supplier-solicitation processes.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and develop structured comparisons across capabilities, commercial terms, and business requirements.
• Perform pricing and financial analyses to support objective supplier decisions.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders throughout the sourcing and evaluation process.
• Develop clear presentation materials and executive-ready recommendations summarizing supplier responses and sourcing findings.
• Help guide the business toward the third-party partner that represents the strongest overall fit.

Do You Bring Proven Success in Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Selection?

• Strong professional experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or supplier management.
• Demonstrated experience personally leading strategic sourcing events from requirements gathering through supplier evaluation and selection.
• Experience working within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, or another life-sciences environment.
• Hands-on experience developing and executing RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, or comparable competitive sourcing processes.
• Experience conducting supplier research, market intelligence, and supplier identification.
• Strong analytical capabilities involving proposal comparisons, commercial terms, pricing, and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and deck-building ability.
• Experience with CDMOs, external manufacturers, medical devices, or inhalation-related products is valuable but not required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• CPM or CPSM certification is beneficial but not required.
