Pharmacist in Charge - Chisholm, MN

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (working manager) to oversee the operations of a retail outpatient pharmacy attached to a hospital setting. This position involves managing pharmacy functions primarily related to discharge medications for patients, supporting healthcare providers, and ensuring the accuracy and safety of prescriptions.


Location:

• Chisholm, MN (retail pharmacy linked to a hospital in Hibbing, MN)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, day shifts only (no nights or weekends)

Duration:

• Contract position lasting 13 weeks, starting ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Verifying, filling, and checking prescription orders with precision and care
• Providing oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians
• Consulting with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and optimize medication use
• Counseling patients on their prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to ensure understanding and compliance
• Maintaining pharmacy operations in compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Pharmacist license with the ability to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge
• Proven experience in retail pharmacy, ideally with exposure to hospital outpatient settings
• Strong knowledge of prescription medication dispensing, verification, and patient counseling
• Leadership skills to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively
• Ability to collaborate professionally with healthcare providers and staff
