Associate, Primary Servicing

Overview This position is responsible for maintaining and servicing a loan portfolio that requires direct client interaction with borrowers, lenders and internal stakeholders. The incumbent ensures the timely and accurate execution of loan servicing and maintenance activity with an emphasis on analyzing calculations such as loan and fee accruals, processing interest, principal, fee payments, advances and loan payoff requests. Essential Job Functions Accurately interpret credit agreements, promissory notes, and other documents to determine operational feasibility and maintain data integrity of the commercial loan system of record. Fund and board new loans on the core loan system. Maintain a designated portfolio of customer accounts, processing payments, advances, payoffs, rate changes, interest and fee calculations, and other maintenance tasks related to these transactions as well as non-accrual and charge‑off items. Process loan extensions and modifications. Calculate pre‑payment penalties on request for payoff statements. Perform post‑origination quality‑control loan audits to ensure that proper legal documents have been received. Conduct research necessary to address loan problems (data entry errors, payment exceptions, misapplications, etc.), resolve issues and communicate outcomes to appropriate parties. Manage high volumes of transaction processing and email correspondence with precision, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and in compliance with documented SLA’s. Maintain relationships with various lines of business, participant banks/co‑lenders, and partner teams for escalation, resolution, and risk management. Communicate both orally and in writing with internal and external clients regarding routine and exception questions related to servicing CRE loans. Independently proof transactions (both cash and non‑cash) and initiate fund transfers due to borrowers and/or lenders in adherence with loan terms and servicing agreements. Contribute to organizational initiatives, drive team goals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, engagement, and inclusivity. Ensure adherence to internal policies, quality standards, and management direction while meeting contractual deliverables to clients and other external parties. Demonstrate teamwork by maintaining a professional attitude, proactively assisting coworkers, and working overtime when necessary to meet client deadlines. Compile various internal reports and assist asset managers and portfolio management teams with reporting to the client. Perform assigned responsibilities with a specialized team within servicing focusing on asset management, portfolio management, treasury services, escrow (including tax or insurance) administration, and related duties. Qualifications and Requirements Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, real estate, business, or equivalent level of education and experience. Experienced professional with 5+ years in loan servicing or a comparable role. Knowledge of financial products, especially loans, guarantees, and standby letters of credit. Detail‑oriented, able to prioritize, meet tight deadlines, multi‑task, and work independently and collaboratively. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities. Proactive, can‑do attitude and confidence to work autonomously while escalating issues appropriately. Proficient with Excel, including use of multiple formulas and macros. Willingness to adjust work schedule, including evening/weekend hours and occasional overnight travel for travel as required. Salary and Benefits The annual full‑time base salary range for this role is $59,000.00 – $80,000.00. Salary is determined through interviews and review of education, experience, training, skills, geographic location, and market data. Certain positions may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
