Job Title: Process Technician

Job Description

The Process Technician will be responsible for checking the schedule on the board to determine which presses need to be started up. Responsibilities include process verification, writing parameters, testing parts, running test parts, answering calls, and performing mold changeovers. The role involves troubleshooting sensors and basic wiring, as well as setting up and maintaining process controls on presses, molds, and equipment to meet customer specifications. The technician will resolve manufacturing processes, perform preventative maintenance, and suggest improvement plans. Coordination of manufacturing activities to ensure quality production through problem-solving and continuous improvement is essential. The technician will also work with secondary equipment such as sonic welders, spin welders, vibration welders, hot plate welders, leak testers, and various poke yokes.

Essential Skills

• 4 years of experience in a plastic injection facility.
• Ability to change molds and experience as a Process Technician.
• Complete understanding of Process Verification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with 950-3000 Ton Presses.
• Knowledge of Cincinnati, Toshiba, and Mitsubishi presses.
• Experience with 6 Axis Robots and minor touchpoint edits.

Work Environment

The position is for the 2nd shift, running from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with a half-hour unpaid lunch, five days a week. Overtime is available to cover call-ins and vacations, with very few weekends required. This is a salary non-exempt position with a standard 40-hour workweek, with time and a half for any hours worked over 40. Vacation time is negotiable.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lansing, MI.

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Lansing,MI.
