Operations Manager - Upstream Distribution Center - DeKalb, IL

Pay range: $73,000.00 – $132,000.00. Job Summary As an Operations Manager at Target’s Distribution and Receive Centers, you will lead teams to keep products moving quickly and safely to guests. You will champion a culture of safety, drive team productivity, and align operations with Target’s core values. Responsibilities Foster a "Safety First" culture through awareness, training, and accountability. Engage and motivate team members to achieve productivity, growth, and development goals. Create a positive work environment by observing operations in real time and delivering constructive feedback. Ensure operational plans are executed on time, performance and budget goals are met, and teams remain informed and coordinated across functions. Innovate with new processes and methods to increase efficiency and support future process‑flow optimization. Identify root causes of problems, using a calculated‑risk approach to testing and improvement. Qualifications Four‑year degree or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated leadership ability, engaging and motivating others. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong reasoning, conflict‑management, and analytical problem‑solving skills. Ability to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including mezzanine platforms. Read and interpret policies and procedures, and operate Distribution Center systems and programs.
