Responsibilities and duties:
Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles
Completes preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation, wheel balancing, replacing filters, etc.
Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Maintains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
Good knowledge of automobiles
Effective analytical and communication skills
Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
Obtain and keep manufacturer certifications up to date
Perform multi-point inspections 100% of the time
Ability to work some scheduled Saturdays
Service closed on Sundays
