Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: One year experience in an acute health care setting preferred. One year experience in an acute rehab care setting preferred. License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS BLS PALS preferred Must-Have: Ability to float to various departments. Description: The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient and family experience through critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment. Provides both indirect and direct care to patients across developmental stages, primarily focusing on adults to geriatrics. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to address the physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs of patients and their families. Responsible for managing the care of assigned patients and directing the activities of ancillary staff. Collaborates with nursing peers, physicians, and allied support services to deliver comprehensive nursing care. Administers individualized, goal-directed nursing care from admission to discharge using the nursing process and documentation. Offers support in the rehabilitation unit, ensuring a safe and effective recovery environment for patients. Demonstrates skills in various nursing procedures and patient care activities, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Engages in patient education and teaching, promoting optimal health and recovery strategies.
