This technician performs field activities associated with supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for commercial customers. Duties Include Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation. Use technical abilities to maintain systems. Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction. Work safely and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends is required. What We Are Looking For High School diploma or GED equivalent HVAC Trade school graduate strongly preferred with strong attendance 1+ years in a mechanical support role; some hands-on HVAC experience preferred EPA Certification- Type I & Type II or Universal Preferred NATE certification a plus Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record Ability to climb ladders Moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds) Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment Excellent customer service skills Good Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostic Skills Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork Ability to work independently and self-schedule Self-motivated to complete tasks within time constraints Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision Availability for weekend and night work occasionally Must be willing to relocate to another part of the country after training Local travel may be required Physical Requirements Technicians install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units. Work is often done independently; technicians must be able to safely: Transport themselves and tools/equipment onto rooftops via ladder Work at heights Load and unload tools/equipment from a work van Lifting occasionally up to 75 lbs Lifting to shoulder and overhead occasionally up to 25 lbs Push/pull wheeled carts up to 150 lbs Climb ladders to roof height Extend reach overhead in repetitive motion Manual tandem lifting up to 125 lbs What We Offer Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $33,000 a0 $41,000. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
