Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a PA/NP in our Internal and Obesity Medicine clinic, you will play a crucial role in the management of patients with chronic illnesses and obesity-related conditions. You will work closely with the physician to provide comprehensive care, conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and educate patients on lifestyle modifications.

Duties

- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Assist in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Collaborate with physician to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with obesity and related health issues.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
- Provide patient education and counseling on weight management, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence within the practice.

Requirements

- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant/Nursing program.
- Current PA/NP license in Texas.
- Previous experience in Internal Medicine or Obesity Medicine is preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
