Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Interventional Radiology. Candidates must have substantial experience in stroke thrombectomy and demonstrate proficiency in using the Epic electronic health record system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the relevant specialty. First-time travelers are not accepted.
• MUST have experience with Epic and stroke thrombectomy.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Patient Population

The role involves caring for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements

• Position in an Interventional Radiology (IR) unit with a standard operational setup.
• Average daily census of 25 with a 4-room configuration.
• Unit systems utilized include Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR.
• Scrub color is provided by the facility.

Scheduling and Work Commitments

• Available for a maximum of 7 days of RTO (Requested Time Off).
• Required to work every third weekend (limited to 2 weekends per month).
• Flexibility to float within the facility and scope of practice as needed.
• Call requirements involve being part of a 3-person call team, with expectations of approximately 8-10 call shifts per month, and the requirement to work every third weekend.
• If assigned during the holiday period, there is an expectation to work major holidays, with specific commitments required depending on the number of holidays within the assignment period.

Full compliance is required before starting the role. Candidates will undergo a clinical screen to ensure a suitable fit. Successful candidates will be forwarded to management for the final decision.
