Customers love using our highly rated app and website for their ordering needs. Our restaurant managers use our applications to manage employee schedules, inventory, and the financials of their business. We also seamlessly integrate with several 3rd party delivery services such as DoorDash, Grubhub and UberEats.We are seeking a Data Engineer to become part of our dynamic data team. In this role, you will work in a hands-on technical role on a team focused on delivering the best experience to our internal restaurant staff and our customers.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and other database objectsParticipate in the development of reports and integration with other systemsPerform database testing and debuggingParticipate in code reviewsDocument database design, architecture, and processesImplement and maintain database security measuresEnsure data security, data integrity, and data qualityMonitor database performance and resolve issues as necessaryTransition efficiently between various tasks such as high priority requests and ongoing projects.Collaborate with other developers, stakeholders, and end-users to understand requirements and provide solutions that meet business needsArchitect, develop, and manage scalable, reliable data pipelinesQualificationsA BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience2-4 years designing, developing, and maintaining a databaseProficiency in MSSQL (T-SQL, Stored Procs) or equivalentWorking knowledge of at least one database management system (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server)Familiarity with database design principles and techniques, including data modeling and normalizationUnderstanding of database performance tuning techniques, including indexing and query optimizationPrior knowledge of ETL concepts and processes, including data transformation, and data loading. Some experience with at least one ETL tool a plus.Flexible working in a variety of IDEs such as visual studio, snowflake, and othersExposure to visualization tools such as DOMO, Power BI and Tableau is desirable, with DOMO experience preferredExperience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS is a plusKnowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plusAwareness of laws surrounding data and data privacyStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong work ethic and willingness to learnGood communication and collaborationSalary Range: $34.47 to $38.46 hourly + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.At Yum!
