Micro Lab Supervisor

Compensation 70k-85k Depending on Experience 15% Bonus Eligible Responsibilities Supervise activities of the assigned area Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, quality assurance (HACCP/USDA) and good housekeeping practices Arrange for appropriate QA microbiological, incoming raw and packaging material records to be prepared and maintained Responsible for the weekly and monthly reports Keep records of departmental activities as required Ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials, improve QA methods and eliminate wasteful practices within department Train QA Lab technicians and other team members as needed Write and update QA Lab, raw and packaging material procedures as needed Manage and update the QA Lab database as required and keep all "on‑hold" records for raw and packaging material Discuss with QA Manager and Plant Manager to establish corrective action on QA problems linked with daily production goals and results Work with suppliers and customers as needed Inspect and test all incoming raw and packaging materials Maintain regular and dependable attendance and punctuality Perform other duties as required or directed Organize, conduct and maintain product sensory program and communicate results for the network Requirements Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent preferred 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience in a microbiology lab or QA food‑processing environment required Knowledge of microbiological and analytical testing methods Strong organizational and communication skills Strong cross‑functional leadership Working knowledge of various food processing technologies and their impact on quality and food safety (freezing, refrigerating, cooking, baking, etc.) Ability to write technical reports Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Certification in HACCP, PCQI, GFSI discipline or Lean Six Sigma a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
