Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the specific needs of children and adolescents, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews. \n
- Design and implement tailored treatment plans that consider the individual developmental stages and family dynamics of young patients. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy, to provide effective interventions for mental health challenges. \n
- Facilitate family therapy sessions, assisting parents and caregivers in creating nurturing environments conducive to the therapeutic process. \n
- Collaborate with child psychiatrists and cross-disciplinary team members to coordinate care and maximize treatment outcomes. \n
- Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring swift and appropriate support for young clients. \n
- Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, therapeutic techniques, and local resources to promote informed decision-making. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with state and federal guidelines, fostering accountability and quality care. \n
- Participate actively in professional development, including training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to stay updated on best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry. \n
The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents, typically ranging from ages 5 to 18, dealing with diverse mental health issues. You will provide critical support to families, promoting a stronger understanding of mental health and encouraging a proactive approach to wellness.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York. \n
- Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing therapy to children and adolescents preferred. \n
- Deep knowledge of childhood and adolescent mental health disorders, including the latest evidence-based treatment strategies. \n
- Proven experience delivering individual and family therapy, demonstrating flexibility in adapting approaches based on client needs. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and empathy-driven skills, with a focus on building rapport with young patients and their families. \n
- Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in telehealth practices. \n
- Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment, promoting collaborative care and idea exchange. \n

- Experience with crisis intervention techniques and emergency mental health responses. \n
- Familiarity with the specific challenges faced by children and adolescents in diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. \n

This position offers an attractive competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, with additional financial incentives such as a sign-on bonus.
