Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description This Warehouse Worker role combines hands‑on material handling with computer‑based inventory management and documentation. You will operate sit‑down forklifts, pull containers for upcoming orders, load and unload trucks, maintain accurate inventory records, and use email and Excel to prepare and print manifests. The position blends physical work and problem solving, requiring strong attention to detail and comfort working in a fast‑paced, demanding warehouse environment. Responsibilities Pull containers for upcoming business that is scheduled 1–5 business days out, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using a sit‑down forklift and other material handling methods. Use email systems to communicate shipment details and coordinate schedules as needed. Prepare, update, and print manifests for trucks using Excel and other computer applications. Perform inventory control activities, including tracking, counting, and verifying inventory for more than 2,000 containers. Follow work orders precisely to ensure correct items, quantities, and destinations. Handle materials and packing tasks to prepare orders for shipment or storage. Enter and update data in Excel spreadsheets and other systems to maintain accurate records. Operate sit‑down forklifts, including larger‑capacity forklifts, to move crates and containers safely. Solve daily operational problems, such as space utilization and load configuration, while staying alert and responsive on the warehouse floor. Essential Skills Proficient computer skills with more than basic knowledge of Excel, including data entry and working with manifests. Experience using email systems to support warehouse and shipping operations. Ability to operate a sit‑down forklift safely and effectively. Experience with material handling, including loading and unloading trucks and handling containers or crates. Ability to follow work orders and written instructions accurately. Basic to intermediate data entry skills in Excel and related systems. Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory control for a large volume of containers. Ability to perform packing and order pulling tasks in a warehouse environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience loading larger crates with forklifts, especially using high‑capacity forklifts. Familiarity with operating 12,000–18,000 lb capacity forklifts with 8‑foot‑long forks. Comfort with problem solving and approaching tasks like puzzles, including planning and organizing loads. Ability to stay alert, adaptable, and responsive in a dynamic warehouse setting. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
