Welder/Machine Operator

Typical schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Busy season will include Fridays) The Welder/Machine Operator is responsible for the daily setup and operation of fabricating, assembling & welding of structural metal products. Essential Job Functions Efficiently and accurately set up and operate the Stamtec Press, Press Brake and/or Floor Machine for routine established work Load, install and correctly set up the tools required; including computer set-up Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to handle materials and completed work Operate hand & power tools, and other equipment as required to complete projects Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process Operates manual and automated welding units and equipment Assist other team members to get job done, as well as other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 1-year experience in machine operation and welding is required Competent at basic dimensional measuring and math; as well as the ability to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools Computer knowledge a plus Ability to work independently and with a team Physical Demands Routinely and continuously walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, reaching, and handling Ability to lift at least (75) pounds Working near moving mechanical parts; near noise routinely, and exposed to outdoor elements Equal Employment Opportunity/Drug-free Workplace Please contact Human Resources at View email address on click.appcast.io if you have any questions or need assistance #J-18808-Ljbffr Superior Bins Limited
