Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and well-being during 13-week travel assignments.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients health status and develop individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform clinical procedures.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
  
  
• 
  Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control, and facility policies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with at least 1 year of medical-surgical experience.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification; IV certification for LVNs required.
  
  
• 
  Prefer candidates with NIH stroke scale certification and ACLS.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  
  
• 
  Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to unit policies.
