Seeking an Associate Attorney, Litigation to handle a diverse caseload with a focus on product liability and transportation-related defense litigation.

Position Overview: A progressive, technology-forward boutique defense litigation and trial firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing team. The firm serves regional and national clients in complex product liability, commercial litigation, medical malpractice, and trucking/transportation defense matters.

This position offers meaningful responsibility, courtroom exposure, and opportunities to take depositions, work directly with clients, and develop litigation and client-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a diverse caseload with a focus on product liability and transportation-related defense litigation.
• Manage matters from accident investigation through litigation and trial.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions in state and federal courts.
• Develop case strategy and manage day-to-day litigation activities.
• Communicate directly with clients and collaborate with in-house counsel.
• Work closely with partners, paralegals, and clients on complex litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality legal documents.
• Participate in hearings, trials, and other courtroom proceedings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil defense litigation experience .
• Experience taking depositions and/or appearing in court.
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri or Illinois.
• Experience or a strong interest in product liability and transportation litigation.
• Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
• Experience with dispositive motion practice in state and federal courts.
• Strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position based in Clayton, Missouri. Candidates must be able to relocate to the area prior to starting.
