Class A Technician - 1st Shift - Grand Prairie, TXLocation: Grand Prairie, TX, US, 75050Company: PACCARBegin a rewarding career as a full-time Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic for PACCAR Leasing! $1,000 sign-on bonus also provided to purchase tools. $250 work boot benefit.Help keep the world moving a Diesel Technician/Mechanic at PacLease, where we are the experts on servicing Kenworth and Peterbilt vehicles.Job Functions / Responsibilities Some of the duties can be, but not limited to the following:Communicating with customers as a part of the check-in and check-out processPerform preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components.Complete work order paperwork to reflect hours, parts and lube, which are utilized within each job function.Ability to work independently, with flexibility to support other technicians to create efficiencies to meet customer needsPerform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems utilizing both mechanical diagnostics and system software diagnostics.Ability to repair more complex issues with truck-trailer, not limited to wiring issues, advance level component replacements, etc.Qualifications & SkillsHigh School Diploma required.Safety conscious and knowledge of general shop safety.Capable of completing job functions without repeat repairs.In-depth knowledge of NHTSA rules and regulations.Additional education or ASE certificates from college or trade schools are preferred.6+ years of truck-trailer experience.DOT and CDL licenses are required.Company Information PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905.
