Type of Requisition: Regular Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: None Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: None Public Trust/Other Required: None Job Family: SCA Job Qualifications: Skills: Exterior Design, Painting, Plastering Certifications: None Experience: 1 + years of related experience US Citizenship Required: No Job Description: Painter, Junior • Paints, stains, enamels, varnishes, lacquers and redecorates interior and exterior surfaces. • Mixes paint and matches colors to achieve desired color. • Uses cloth, brushes, sprayer, roller, and/or sponges to apply paint or other coatings. • Removes old finish using scrapers, chemical compounds, or a blowtorch. • May fill nail holes, joints and cracks in walls with plaster or other filler. • May replace door or window glass. • Requisitions new painting supplies and equipment. • Participates in special projects, as required. Education Requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience. Experience 1-3 years of related painting experience. The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.63 - $29.88. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
