Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Emergency Room, managing a diverse range of acute medical conditions, and playing a vital role in the healthcare team.Shift InformationShift Type: NightsShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: Every other weekendHoliday Requirement: YesKey ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive patient assessment and care in the Emergency Room setting.Manage and monitor patients with various medical conditions including cardiac issues, respiratory concerns, oncologic conditions, neurosurgery, strokes, and trauma.Implement evidence-based nursing interventions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with established standards.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.Participate in department activities related to quality improvement and patient safety.Effectively communicate with patients and families regarding care plans and health education.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room or critical care setting.Required Certifications: ACLSBLS CertificationENPCNIHSSNRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)PALSTNCCCertification in de-escalation techniquesPediatric readiness certified and must demonstrate competence in managing pediatric patients.Unit InformationDepartment: Emergency RoomPatient Capacity: 21 private rooms, 2 trauma bays, 1 resuscitation room, and 1 FNE room.Average Patients per Day: Approximately 50Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4 patients to 1 nurseElectronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPICIn-House Security: Available 24/7Work EnvironmentThe Emergency Room operates efficiently to ensure rapid patient care. All patients are roomed within 7 minutes of arrival.
