District Sales Manager - Industrial Automation - TN, GA, SC (Remote)

The Industrial Automation District Sales Manager (DSM) will be responsible for leading and growing an established territory covering customers and channel partners. Technology focus would be pneumatic and electric motion control. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Sales Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to exceed sales targets within the assigned territory for Factory Automation Market. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities and market trends and capitalize on them to drive revenue growth. Build and maintain a sales pipeline, with a consistent focus on new customer acquisition, opportunity creation and closure. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of the competition. Customer Relationship Management: Actively engage channel partners with a focus on sales and market share growth; hold them accountable to sales targets, activity levels, and joint business development plans. Maintain strong relationships with existing Factory Automation key customers. Understand customer needs, provide technical expertise, and offer solutions that align with their requirements. Address customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare regular sales reports, including sales activity, customer feedback, and Factory Automation market trends analysis. Provide accurate sales forecasts and participate in the annual budgeting process. Industry Knowledge and Product Expertise : Deep understanding of pneumatic and/or electric motion control technology. Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies related to Motion Control. Key brands include AVENTICS, Numatics and AFAG. Develop a deep understanding of FLMC product portfolio supporting Factory Automation Industries such as Packaging, Discrete Manufacturing. Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to customers, showcasing the value proposition of Emerson's products and solutions. Who You Are: You set aggressive goals and have high standards. You anticipate customer needs and provide services that are beyond customer expectations. You work through formal and informal channels to build broad-based relationships and support. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industrial sales experience. A minimum of 2 years of related sales experience. Technical proficiency with the ability to understand technical issues and troubleshoot problems Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport, establish trust and close deals. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word, Excel and Power Point. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience. The ability to successfully work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Willingness and ability to travel 50% with overnight and extended travel days within the assigned territory. Valid U.S. driver's license. Experience selling pneumatic and electric motion control. Mechanical, electrical, process control, fluid power or fluid control technical aptitude.
