We are devoted to nurturing a vibrant, inclusive community where every member — student, faculty, and staff — can achieve their fullest potential.Join the Ole Miss Family — Build Your Legacy Here!Department:Student Health ServicesJob Summary:Provides health care services and patient education, develops and evaluates care plans, and prescribes medications and treatments in support of patient health and well-being.Job Description:Assess, diagnoses and treats acute and chronic health conditions utilizing various medical practices and medications.Provides follow-up care and evaluates effectiveness of care.Develops, implements, collects data and evaluates primary health care services as directed by individual care plans.Develops individualized care plans based on medical assessments in accordance with medical best practices and established rules and regulations.Educates patients and their support systems on how to manage conditions and to promote the health and well-being of patients and those around them.Will obtain SANE certification and provide SANE exams in rotation with other SANE-trained providers.Job Responsibilities:Provides primary medical care and treatment to students within the University community.Conducts patient assessments, obtains medical histories, and performs physical examinations.Diagnoses acute and chronic health conditions and develops appropriate treatment plans.Prescribes medications, orders diagnostic testing, and manages follow-up care.Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.Educates patients on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive health practices.Makes referrals to specialists and outside providers when clinically appropriate.Interprets and communicates laboratory and diagnostic test results to patients.Promotes public health initiatives through patient education and community outreach.Maintains accurate and compliant medical documentation in accordance with professional standards.Provides clinical leadership and supports nursing staff development and patient care operations.Participates in public health surveillance, risk mitigation, and campus health initiatives.Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and clinical protocols governing advanced practice nursing.Additional Requirements:Please attach a Resume and Cover Letter.Candidates must be licensed to practice in Mississippi.Perferred Qualifcation:6 years of relevant experience.Education Qualifications:Master's (Required)Experience:Relevant experience | 3 Years | RequiredCompensation:$91,395.20 - $137,113.60Interview Requirement:Interview Requirements: Any candidate who is called for an interview must notify the Department of Equal Opportunity/Regulatory Compliance in writing of any reasonable accommodation needed prior to the date of the interview.EEO Statement:The University of Mississippi provides equal opportunity in any employment practice, education program, or education activity to all qualified persons.
