Mental Health Technician

Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Technicians

We are seeking mental health/developmental disabilities technicians to join our team at VA Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas in a full-time capacity or locum tenens.

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Valid driver's license
• Basic life support (BLS) certification
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds repetitively and requires physical strength to frequently bend, stoop, walk, push, pull, twist, squat, and lift patients with assistance

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, basic care and supervision to patients and residents at state hospital
• Perform location checks, both observing and monitoring
• Perform environmental cleaning tasks
