Position Overview

\n

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller , you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day general ledger operations, driving accuracy in our monthly close process, and performing analytical reviews.

\n

The ideal candidate goes beyond the numbers—possessing a strong business acumen and a solid understanding of operational workflows to connect daily financial activities with broader company operations. You thrive in an independent, fast-paced environment, possess strong proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel , and bring a solutions-oriented, positive attitude to the team.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• General Ledger & Journal Entries: Prepare, review, and draft accurate general ledger entries, recurring journal entries, and accruals in accordance with GAAP.
\n
• Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of complex GL accounts (including bank statements, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, and intercompany balances) to ensure data integrity.
\n
• Operational & Data Analysis: Analyze operational data and business transactions to prepare journal entries, support financial reporting, and provide meaningful operational insights.
\n
• Cross-Functional & Process Alignment: Partner with key operational departments to gain a clear understanding of end-to-end business operations, ensuring accounting workflows properly reflect underlying operational activities.

• Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist the Controller in executing an efficient, timely month-end close cycle and support preparation for annual audits.
\n
• Expense Processing & Management: Oversee and manage expense processing workflows, ensuring policy compliance, accurate coding, and timely resolution of expense queries.
\n
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate accounting and operational procedures, recommending and implementing process automation or efficiencies where applicable.

Required Qualifications & Experience

\n

\n
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
\n
• Experience: 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within tech, IT services, SaaS, or hospitality-adjacent sectors.
\n
• Business & Operational Acumen: Strong familiarity with operational business processes and how front-line operations impact the general ledger and financial statements.
\n
• Software Proficiency:
\n
• NetSuite: Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP required.
\n
• Microsoft Excel: Advanced proficiency (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data manipulation, index/match).
\n
• Expense Software: Experience utilizing expense management systems (e.g., Concur, Ramp, Expensify, or similar).
\n
