Team Lead of Sports and Play

Position Summary The Team Lead – Sports & Play is an entry‑level leadership position responsible for helping launch and grow Allstar's sports and recreation offerings, including pickleball, volleyball, open play, leagues, and future programming. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sports, loves creating great experiences for guests, and wants to grow into larger leadership opportunities over time. The position will evolve as our Sports & Play department expands. This is a hands‑on leadership role. Team members in this position will support both Sports & Play operations and the overall daily operations of Allstar. Leadership Expectations Lead by example through professionalism, urgency, and teamwork. Take ownership and solve problems without waiting to be asked. Create a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for guests. Communicate effectively with team members and leadership. Demonstrate reliability and accountability. Primary Responsibilities Sports & Play Oversee court reservations and scheduling. Assist with leagues, tournaments, clinics, and open play. Ensure courts and equipment are set up and ready. Monitor the condition and cleanliness of all sports equipment. Address guest concerns and create positive experiences. Enforce policies and safety expectations. Assist in developing new programs and activities. Leadership & Operations Support opening procedures and morning operations. Assist other departments when business needs require it. Help train and develop Sports & Play Attendants. Communicate opportunities and challenges to leadership. Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility. Support special events and peak business periods. Assist with operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Must have morning availability. Must be available to work weekends and occasional evenings. Passion for sports, recreation, and guest experience. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Ability to lift and move sports equipment. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Leadership experience in sports, recreation, hospitality, or customer service. Experience coaching, officiating, or organizing activities.
