Assistant Swim Coach

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub appThe Assistant Swim Coach supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the men’s and women’s intercollegiate swimming program at the NCAA Division III level. This includes recruitment, coaching, administrative duties, and fostering a positive team culture that aligns with the academic and athletic values of Plymouth State University.Duties/ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning and running practices and swim meetsProvide individualized and group coaching to enhance athlete development and performanceHelp with recruitment of prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, LEC conference, and PSU rulesEncourage and promote academic successMaintain equipment and assist with pool operations as neededPromote a safe, inclusive, and respectful team environmentRepresent the team and institution at athletic, alumni, and fundraising eventsRequirementsBachelor's degreePrior competitive swimming or coaching experience at the collegiate, club,or high school levelStrong communication, organizational, and leadership skillsComputer experience, knowledge of the Team Manager ProgramKnowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulationsCurrent CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with meet management software (e.g., Hy-Tek)Lifeguard certification or willingness to obtainExperience recruiting at the collegiate levelWork Environment and Expectations:Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and travel as neededCommitment to fostering an environment that supports student-athletes’ academic and personal growthUphold the mission and values of NCAA Division III athleticsApplicant Instructions:Applicants should be prepared to upload the following documents when applying online within the My Experience: Resume/CV section of the application: (Maximum of 5 Documents)Resume/CVCompensation Pay Range:$15.00Plymouth State University offers high-quality baccalaureate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs.
