Metrology Process Technician - Nights

Position Summary In this role you will perform functions across manufacturing and system operations, including setup and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documentation, rework, and quality testing for memory and logic chip production. You will use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data, conduct in‑line adjustments, and help develop methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Role And Responsibilities Here’s what you’ll be responsible for: Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follow SOPs to keep equipment, processes, and systems running effectively. Troubleshooting: Conduct failure analysis and use scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures. Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitor equipment and processes, proactively identifying ways to improve performance. Teamwork and Communication: Work well in a team environment and communicate effectively across the organization. Skills and Qualifications Here’s what you’ll need: Associate’s degree or other technical certification (e.g., Pharmacy Tech, Dental Assistant, medical technologist, or 4-year equivalent military service). Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation. Highly capable in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Focused on continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, changing environment. Familiar with TPM concepts. Detail and task oriented, valuing customer service, teamwork, and flexibility. Ability to adhere to SOPs. Ability to work off‑hours if necessary. Electro‑mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity. All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite. We are not currently accepting applications for candidates who will need visa sponsorship. The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60/hour – $60.40/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on duties, location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs. Night Shifts Include B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45 pm – 7:15 am) with alternating Saturdays. D Shift – Wednesday through Friday (6:45 pm – 7:15 am) with alternating Saturdays.
