Job Title: Contract Pharmacist – Inpatient Psychiatric Healthcare

Location: Salem, OR (On-Site)

Job Type: Full-Time / Contract (40 Hours Per Week)

Contract Duration: 26 Weeks (With strong potential for extension/renewal)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, clinical-focused Pharmacist to fulfill a 26-week contract engagement at an inpatient psychiatric facility located in Salem, OR. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to practice behavioral health pharmacy in a structured, collaborative inpatient environment.

Operating on a predictable schedule, you will deliver essential pharmaceutical care, medication management, and clinical support.

Compensation Options:

• Travel Compensation Package: Offered If Applicable

• Local Compensation Rate: $83.00 per hour

Schedule & Work-Life Balance:

• Rotation Schedule: Monday - Friday (5x8-hour shifts per week)

• Shift Availability: Day Shift only (No weekends!)

• Benefits: Predictable shift blocks and guaranteed weekly hours with an immediate start timeline

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, interpret, and verify medication orders for high-acuity behavioral health residents.

• Monitor patient drug therapy regimens for drug-drug interactions and appropriate dosing of psychotropic medications.

• Provide clinical consultation to physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams regarding optimal pharmaceutical care.

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility-specific pharmacy regulations within an inpatient EHR system.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) from an accredited institution.

• Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Pharmacist in the State of Oregon.

• Ability to successfully clear a comprehensive state background check, drug screening, and facility safety vetting.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to safe, accurate, and trauma-informed patient care.
