The fast-paced and dynamic environment in which we operate will provide you with daily challenges and exciting opportunities.In this role, you may be asked to demonstrate a willingness and ability to:* Learn about the financial services industry and clients that we serve in the middle market and leverage your understanding to become your clients’ trusted advisor* Interact with client process owners and external stakeholders while executing your role* Demonstrate critical thinking skill in gathering and processing information about a client’s business, strategy, culture, competitive positioning, and operations in order to assist with risk assessment* Prepare initial drafts and follow-ups on client request lists* Draft narratives or flowcharts and perform initial identification of controls* Conduct tests of the operating effectiveness of clients’ internal controls using test plans or work programs that have been written by senior members of the team* Identify issues in the testing performed, such as deficiencies, observations, and recommendations* Understand the purpose and objectives of internal/external project status updates and provide relevant inputs* Proactively make oneself aware of white papers, webinars, and live events that are available to clients**Position Qualifications*** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related business discipline* Ability to travel to meet client needs and work collaboratively with others in-person and remotely* Openness to workday flexibility, agility, remote work environment, leveraging new tools* Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing* Effective time management and prioritization skillsAt RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
