Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cath Lab/EP Technologist is responsible for assisting in catheterization procedures and electrophysiology studies within the cardiovascular laboratory. They support clinical staff by maintaining a sterile environment, preparing equipment, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Cath Lab/EP suite by setting up sterile equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology procedures, ensuring proper instrumentation and device functionality.
• Monitor patient vitals and comfort levels throughout interventions, reporting any changes to the clinical team.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, including equipment used and patient responses.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting and minor maintenance to support continuous workflow.

Qualifications:

• Hold an RCIS, RCES, or equivalent Cardiovascular Technology certification.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience working in a Cath Lab or electrophysiology setting.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, pathophysiology, and invasive procedures.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with physicians and nursing staff.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
