Distribution Center Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, training, disciplinary action, and performance evaluation. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to warehouse staff and ensure they are completed efficiently. Promote a positive working atmosphere and resolve any conflicts that may arise within the team. Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation. Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels. Implement and maintain a first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory system where applicable. Oversee the receiving process, ensuring that shipments are accurately checked, documented, and properly stored. Inspect incoming goods for quality and report any discrepancies or damages to appropriate personnel. Manage the efficient picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders. Ensure orders are accurately assembled, labeled, and dispatched in a timely manner. Coordinate with the transportation department for outbound shipments. Ensuring production paperwork is accurate and product meets quality standards. Using lean principles to increase production standards. Daily planning and coordinating of production schedule. Working with other departments on projects and deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse layout to optimize space utilization. Implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Manage the proper storage of goods to prevent damage or spoilage. Generate regular reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and warehouse performance. Maintain accurate records of stock movements, returns, and damaged goods. Assist in the development of warehouse-related policies and procedures. Utilize warehouse management software and technology to optimize processes. Ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Minimum Qualifications 1+ Years of Experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role 3+ Years of Experience in a Warehouse or distribution center role Education Requirements High school Graduate or equivalent Physical Requirements Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
