Grill Cook Supervisor

Supervise, train, and schedule a team of four grill cooks.

Lead by example by actively preparing and cooking menu items during service.

Ensure food is prepared consistently, accurately, and according to established recipes and quality standards.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen at all times.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health department regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation requirements.

Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficient food production and timely service.

Manage food and supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage.

Minimize food waste and control food costs through proper inventory management and portion control.

Develop, update, and implement seasonal and daily menus in collaboration with management.

Inspect food quality and ensure freshness of all ingredients.

Train employees on food safety, sanitation, kitchen procedures, and customer service expectations.

Create and manage staffing schedules.

Address employee performance issues and provide coaching and support as needed.

Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report repair needs promptly.

Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff and management to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Perform opening and/or closing kitchen duties.

Previous supervisory or kitchen management experience preferred.

Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Experience working in a restaurant, café, grill, or similar food service environment.

Strong leadership and team-building skills.

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations.

Inventory management and food ordering experience.

Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Food Handler and/or ServSafe Manager Certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
