Press OperatorCannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Press Operator in our Bowling Green, Kentucky Facility. The Press Operator is responsible for the operation of various tonnage presses and producing quality parts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cold stamping, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package with career advancement opportunities.Summary of Responsibilities:Operation and knowledge of tonnage presses, decoilers, feeders, conveyors, cranes, and PLC controlled equipmentPerform Quick Die Change as per Q.D.C. procedure with minimum supervisionUse various measuring and inspection devices to ensure accuracy and part quality, complete all relevant paperworkTroubleshoot for poor quality product and report all damagesUtilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs, and increase capacityMaintain and improve housekeeping within work areaMeet production targets as set forth by the companyMinimum Qualifications:2 years of machine operations/ work related experienceAbility to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs)Ability to work independently and in a team environmentAble to work flexible shift timesPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of dies, presses, and press controls (start up, shut down, safety devices)Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
