Retail Staff Pharmacist

Schedule: M-F (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM), Saturday rotation (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state.
• PharmD preferred.
• Three years of retail experience preferred.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes.
• Advise healthcare providers on drug therapy issues including toxicity, side effects, and proper dosing.
• Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
• Maintain relationships with medical and nursing staff, providing timely information on pharmaceuticals and drug use.
• Conduct medication reviews to assess patient compliance and therapeutic outcomes.
• Instruct patients on the proper use of prescribed medications.

Compliance / Notes:

• Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Participation in education and training programs regarding compliance as required.
• Will follow dress code policies and maintain personal hygiene standards.
